Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a deeply relaxing treatment that helps release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the shoulders, neck, head and face. Western Indian Head Massage are usually 'dry' treatments, meaning that oil is not used and the treatment is done through clothes. This form of massage is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraines and sinusitis. It also promotes a sense of calmness, peace and tranquility; a release from anxiety, stress and mental strain; relief from depression; increases levels of concentration leading to clearer thinking and focus.
What to Expect?
You will be asked to sit upright on a chair, fully clothed. A full medical and lifestyle consultation will be completed on your first appointment with a less detailed one on subsequent appointments. A range of different massage techniques are applied including deep kneading, compression movements, petrissage and effleurage over the neck, shoulders, head/scalp and face. The session usually lasts around 30 minutes.
This treatment can be a stand alone treatment or combined with any other, especially relaxing when combined with foot or face reflexology.
